your new best friend is waiting for you

right here!

Aussie And Me has some of the best pups around. We have taken the ones that were no longer wanted or cared for and rescued them with love and patience to be amazing companions. Although we do specialize in the herding breeds (Australian Shepherd and Border Collie) we are NOT a breed specific rescue. We have plenty of dogs to choose from to be your forever furry friend.

Foster homes

and donations

As a rescue, we need foster homes to save more lives. Without foster homes, we cannot save lives and our hearts are left with a heavy burden. If you are able to foster, please let us know as for many pups, their lives could be depending on you. Email  for information. In addition, the dogs in rescue still remain in need of medical care, monthly preventatives, food, toys, new homes and lots of love. If you able to sponsor one dog this year, please check out our adoptable list and tell us what pup you would like to sponsor. Monetary donations are always needed to pay our overwhelming vet bills.

so just who is Aussie And Me and what are they all about?

Aussie And Me Animal Rescue (AAMAR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well- matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to communities and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
